Growing up in a Christian home, I went to church every Sunday, followed all the rules, and considered myself to be a pretty good person. It wasn’t until I left for college that I realized how broken the world really was – including me. My freshman year was a wake-up call; I needed God, desperately. His unconditional grace and love was the balm my exhausted perfectionist heart needed. After really claiming my faith as my own, I began to fall in love with studying God’s Word and helping other women know Him more.
Over the next 6 years I volunteered and eventually interned with Cru at UA, a ministry on the University of Arizona campus passionate about connecting college students to Jesus. While living in Tucson, I attended Redemption Tucson and knew I wanted to stay involved in the Redemption family once I moved back to the East Valley in 2016. My first Sunday at Redemption Gateway was in January 2017. I met my husband, Kahdeem, soon after and we married in March 2020. I’m so grateful and excited to be part of Gateway’s staff team as an Administrative Coordinator!
