Early Childhood: Ages 0-2

In our early childhood classrooms, we work diligently to provide a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for 0-2 year olds. Our goal is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children in our care, so they can freely participate in the worship service.

Cry Room

Room 308 is available as a cry room for mothers who need to feed their infants. This private room is equipped with a diaper changing station, and live sermon audio is streamed in.

What to Bring

Please be sure to bring diapers, sippy cups, and a change of clothes, along with anything that might help in soothing your child if needed (blanket, pacifier, etc.). Please label any personal items that are brought in to the classroom.

What NOT to Bring

For walkers and 2 year olds, please refrain from bringing any personal toys into the classroom, as those items can often lead to conflicts in sharing.

Diapers and Potty Training

All diaper changing is done by the adult female volunteers in our classrooms, and we are happy as well to assist with any toddlers who are potty training.

We do not serve snacks in our infant and crawler rooms, but are happy to feed the children any provided bottles or snacks as requested by parents. We begin serving snacks – cheerios, Goldfish, Cheez-its, Nilla Wafers – in our walker and 2 year old classrooms. If you do not want your child to have a snack, or if you are going to provide your own, please be sure to talk with the teacher when dropping off your child.

In our early childhood classrooms, children are promoted by developmental stages – infants when they begin crawling, crawlers when they begin walking – until they turn 2. Volunteers will communicate with parents when they feel a child is ready to be promoted.

We begin teaching with a structured curriculum in our 2 year old class. Our 2 year olds will focus on a particular Bible story and theme each month, and will have weekly lessons, sensory activities, songs, and playtime that connect with the Bible story.
